Abstract:

When we rented an office at WeWork in Mexico City I had the chance to meet Julio Dovalina, an amazing human, filmmaker, activist and philanthropist, who cares about many causes, mainly creating foundations, movements, events related to help and improve lives of humans with disabilities. Throughout the last 4 years, he has given me the opportunity to collaborate as a volunteer in many of his projects. One of them is ReelAbilities Film Festival.

ReelAbilities is the largest film festival in the United States, dedicated to promoting awareness and recognition of the lives, stories, and artistic expressions of people with different types of disabilities. In 2019, a group of volunteers worked together to bring the festival to Mexico, who was the first Latin American country to host it.

Since the brand was already established, I applied their guidelines to develop different design assets, like the official poster, invitations, stationery, merchandising and add some information Mexico's section of the website.

Being part of this experience - which I was very honored to be part of - allowed me to meet incredible humans, from Rita Romanowsky who's the founder of Inclúyeme and director of this festival. The team provided their time, resources and efforts to make this happen.
